About Us

Our Philosophy

HomeSafe Driving School is committed to create safe drivers. A "safe driver” (1) is a distinct term for a certain mindset that encompasses the hard skills of technical driving and the soft skills of character and attitude - including being more present, patient, and aware of people in the vehicles around us. We do the basics exceptionally well; however, we are not content to stop there - we focus on developing the whole driver. Research demonstrates that drivers perform more safely, comfortably, and effectively in direct proportion to the quality and thoroughness of their education, training, and parental involvement (2). As such, our Behind-the-wheel training, interactive classes, and workshops provide opportunities for students to learn beyond the do’s and don’ts covered in many driver education programs. It is geared to surpass DMV requirements and prepare graduates to perform exceedingly well—not only on the day of the exam, but for a lifetime behind the wheel. Our name, HomeSafe, therefore, reflects our core commitment - a commitment that began long before the first meeting between instructor and student, and runs throughout the entire program and beyond: producing safe and competent drivers. This requires an understanding of what it means to be a “safe driver.” It is a mindset to continually choose to do whatever it takes to Get You, Passengers, and Others. Homesafe.

  • Brad is awesome. I'm from NYC, moved to LA a few months ago and didn't know anything about driving. He will work with you on all your problem areas until you get it, mine being gauging distance and left/right turns. He isn't crazy, or on his phone constantly, and doesn't stress you out like some driving instructors I also had. I felt like a better driver after each lesson. I would definitely recommend.

  • I'm 30, and I have never driven before, so I bought 20 hours with him. I passed my test on a first try with only 3 mistakes, and a great part of the merit goes to him.He is dedicated to excellence and very encouraging. He would tell you if you are making a mistake but at the same time tell you not to beat yourself over it, cause you have stay focused on the road and proceed .The greatest part is, immediately after the test I felt really comfortable driving on my own, even on the freeway. Thanks!

  • I always considered driving a nervous, stressful event every time I got behind the wheel. I used to sweat like there was no tomorrow when I sat in that driver's seat. However, Brad and HomeSafe Driving School has changed all of that around and more!!! Brad has helped me build a confidence in driving I never knew I could have. With every driving lesson, I became significantly less nervous while driving and actually looked forward to driving with Brad.

  • The timing of the lesson was just right. I felt like I could practice until I got it right, not for some set amount of time. I was excited to get out on the big streets!

  • Janet really made me feel really at ease right from the start. She has a really calm, yet friendly manner. She broke things down into really simple steps and had really made me feel more confident about learning to drive in California.

  • We engaged Brad to provide the behind the wheel training for our permitted daughter. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! He was kind, patient and encouraging. There were times when we needed flexibility in our scheduled appointments and he was always accommodating.
