Our Philosophy HomeSafe Driving School is committed to create safe drivers. A "safe driver” (1) is a distinct term for a certain mindset that encompasses the hard skills of technical driving and the soft skills of character and attitude - including being more present, patient, and aware of people in the vehicles around us. We do the basics exceptionally well; however, we are not content to stop there - we focus on developing the whole driver. Research demonstrates that drivers perform more safely, comfortably, and effectively in direct proportion to the quality and thoroughness of their education, training, and parental involvement (2). As such, our Behind-the-wheel training, interactive classes, and workshops provide opportunities for students to learn beyond the do’s and don’ts covered in many driver education programs. It is geared to surpass DMV requirements and prepare graduates to perform exceedingly well—not only on the day of the exam, but for a lifetime behind the wheel. Our name, HomeSafe, therefore, reflects our core commitment - a commitment that began long before the first meeting between instructor and student, and runs throughout the entire program and beyond: producing safe and competent drivers. This requires an understanding of what it means to be a “safe driver.” It is a mindset to continually choose to do whatever it takes to Get You, Passengers, and Others. Homesafe.
